About Lisa

Lisa was only 47 years young when she passed. Her illness came out of nowhere. Lisa had a cough she contributed to a cold she couldn’t kick. Finally, at the urging of her husband Chuck, they went to the doctor. A lump was found in her neck and she was immediately sent to the emergency. She was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. The doctors gave her approximately 8 months and according to Chuck “they were right on”. That was February of 2014.

Lisa and Chuck would have celebrated their 10th anniversary in September of 2020. After being high school sweethearts but going separate ways, Lisa served in the U.S. Army and was medically retired. She and Chuck reconnected later in life and married. Lisa and Chuck have 6 beautiful girls and Lisa was at one time the assistant softball coach at Courtland High School in Spotsylvania. She loved watching the girls play. Lisa also served as a member with the Spotsylvania County Volunteer Rescue Squad. She was taking paramedic courses and was about to graduate when she was diagnosed. Lisa had a zest for life and as so many do in our area of Virginia, she loved crabs and could crack’em with the best of them. Lisa was diagnosed with Lung Cancer in February of 2014, started aggressive treatment in March, and left this world way too soon on December 18, 2014.

Lisa will be remembered as a great wife, incredible mom, and a heart way bigger than her body. She is missed every day by Chuck, their daughters, and all those who knew her.
